Welcome to the Scottish Area Group's web-pages!

The main purpose of the BAFA Scottish Area Group (BAFA Scotland) is to further the objectives of BAFA by: encouraging and promoting research and scholarship in accounting and finance among academics working at Scottish institutions; supporting accounting and finance PhD students currently studying at Scottish academic institutions; developing a network of accounting and finance researchers and teachers within Scotland; providing a forum for discussion on learning, teaching and assessment issues facing accounting and finance academics in Scotland and facilitating the promotion of best and innovative practices; actively developing our connections with the professions and associated institutes so as to inform practice and policy; and organising (and/or sponsoring) an annual conference and targeted events.
