BAFA Scotland 2024 Annual Conference

Monday 17 - Monday 17 June 2024 University of Dundee

BAFA Scotland is pleased to invite you to our one-day, in-person annual conference at the University of Dundee's Dalhousie Building on Monday, 17 June 2024. The conference is being organised by the BAFA Scotland Executive Committee, with the help of the School of Business at Dundee, and with the support of the Dundee City Region Convention Bureau.

Call for Papers [Submissions Now Closed]

We are now inviting submissions of original papers from all areas of accounting and finance and employing all manner of research methodologies and methods. Submissions may include fully developed papers or early 'discovery' (developmental/emerging) papers and ideas.

Submissions are invited from academics; however, PGRs are warmly welcomed to attend.

The extended submission deadline is Friday, 17th May 2024 by 5pm. Please submit your work by e-mail with the subject line '2024 Conference' to: scottish-ag@bafa.ac.uk. Please clearly state in your email (or the subject line) whether you wish to do a full presentation or a discovery presentation (e.g., in the subject line, include the following: "2024 Conference - Full Presentation"). Selection will then be undertaken by the BAFA Scotland executive committee, with authors notified of the decision soon thereafter.

For full presentations, you must submit a complete working or draft paper. For discovery presentations, we would expect around 1,000 words (or more) to be submitted, with the aim of providing a good indication of the emerging themes/research idea.

To ensure that all accepted full papers receive individual feedback, we will be assigning a discussant to each full paper submitted.

Prizes

One of the highlights of the conference will be the award of Best Full Paper and Best Discussant prizes, all of which will be announced at the end of the conference and will recognise the highest-quality research and originality presented at the conference. Monetary prizes are generously sponsored by ACCA.
