Corporate Governance SIG Conference and Doctoral Colloquium 2019
Tuesday 17 - Wednesday 18 December 2019 Sheffield University Management School, SheffieldThis two-day conference and doctoral colloquium bring together governance researchers and practitioners from around the world. Given recent corporate collapses such as Carillion it is important to explore the causes for continual governance problems within the corporate sector but also across the public, voluntary and charity sectors. Further, the conference aims to identify new areas for governance research that incorporate wider aspects of accountability and sustainability.
The first day will comprise a doctoral colloquium where doctoral researchers in corporate governance will have an opportunity to present their work and receive feedback. The full conference will take place on the second day.
There will be guest speakers from academia and practice on both days. Our guest speaker for the main conference is Professor Prem Sikka. Others will be announced shortly.
